Alex Camoni

Since I was young, I followed an interest in visual arts (in particular painting, photography, cinema and graphics) that become a guiding thread in my life. I got interested in photography when I was in high school without practicing it until I bought my first camera (an analogue reflex) at the beginning of 2000. My first shootings were about family moments and I shot when I had some time free.

 I studied the photographic technique, involving also knowledge of development and printing processes by myself, later darkroom technique with Carlo Cattadori and Michele Rava; at the same time I was given the opportunity to attend as auditor a filmmaker course at Scuola Civica di Cinema in Milan (2001/2002). I practiced photography for a few years; in the meanwhile I moved from my hometown to Milan. 

 After a brief break I started over shooting, improving the technique with fashion photographer Sergio Caminata, using contemporary digital equipments and starting to follow the documentation of theather shows and performances. I also began to work in the field of fashion, shooting actors and models books.

 If I should shortly describe my approach towards photography, I would say that "I shoot as authentic as possible". I consider myself an attentive and versatile professional.

Among my interests there are walking in nature, gardening, essays reading.
