The Orchestra Fiati del Canavese was formed in October 2010 by an idea of the Master Massimiliano Mittica, project creator and artistic director of the musical group; musicians have enthusiastically and availability supported his birth.

The orchestra, formed by forty young masters, expresses high-level thinking which gives the extraordinary sound quality offered by a modern team of wind instruments, the role of the actor's art scene's new millennium.

The choice of repertoire stems from the need to merge the classical tradition (Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gordon Jacob, Percy Aldridge Grainger, George Friedrich Haendel) with the most intense contemporary programming, masterfully interpreted by American culture, which has been able to stimulate the creation of songs original written specifically for this particular musical training from big composers such as Vincent Persichetti, Stephen Melillo, Philip Sparke, Frank Ticheli, Robert W. Smith, Robert Russell Bennett, John Adams, Jan Van der Roost.

With the '"Orchestra Fiati del Canavese" collaborate frequently valiant musicians with experiences in several prestigious organizations as the National Symphony Orchestra of the RAI Theatre, Regio in Turin, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Teatro Regio of Parma, Orchestra of Italian Switzerland.

The '"Orchestra Fiati del Canavese" aims to spread a culture of listening symphonic music for winds, unfortunately in Italy not so rooted The achievement of these objectives requires the involvement and significant support by governments, organizations and associations that help the Orchestra grow its repertoire to bring to the attention of the general public.
