Shams, so the Arabs are calling the sun and in this way she is also called, when she was seen dancing, as in her dance she sends the heat, the beauty; end the magic sensuality of the belly dance.

Shams is one of the most interesting realities of the artistic reality in the Middle East. She dances using Arabic techniques , along with the culture of her Country of origin, where are fused together also the elements of the Turkish belly dance; the result is a mix of melodies and rhythms between west and east, odalisque and gipsy  which make her absolutely charming and peculiar.

She was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, land divided between east and west where the European traditions live together with the oriental word. She studied at the Governmental institute of choreography (D.H.U.) in Sofia. Then she attended many courses and seminars in Middle East dance in different country among the others: Turkey, Tunisia, Jordan, Egypt, France and Italy. As professional Raq Sharki dancer she extends her field of activity both in domestic and in international level. She exhibits herself in different countries at artistic and cultural centers, festivals, exhibitions, conventions, theatres.

She enjoys participating in private parties and public places, giving her personal tribute to the diffusion of the Middle East dance. With her unique and involving style, she generated unforgettable emotions in many concerts among the others we are finding names as: Hakim, Aziz, M. Monir, B. Soltan, E. Karika, I Lolof and many others. She often appears in private and public televisions. Shams is membership of the Universal Peace Federation and The Universal Artist` Association for World Peace.
For all her activity performed plenty with passion and love, Shams has been awarded in many national and international contests. In Italy, she is the first dancer on Middle East dance to win a trophy: “Arte e Operosita’ 2003” given to people from social, cultural, artistic and public life in the convention “Italia vetrina nel Mondo”. Of course we cannot enumerate all her performances where she presented with success and where she gave probe of her unique talent. With so much perseverance and enthusiasm Shams gives herself at the teaching of this ancient art, symbol of a millenary culture feministic and sensual and that includes inside the mystery and the magic that brought it till our days.

Since many years, Italian citizen she lives in Milan, where in 2004 founded the Cultural Centre Shams for the diffusion and the study of the oriental dance in all her expressions.

In 2012 She opened the twin, Cultural Center “Oriental “in Sofia, Bulgaria, where follows the mission to diffuse the oriental dance ant culture.
